The event was presided by the Chief Guest Of the day, Right Rev. Bishop Francis Kalist, Bishop of Meerut Diocese and the Guest of Honour , Rev Father Sahaya Das, Director, Education Commission for the Meerut Diocese. Respected Sister Principal, Sister Tissa S.D. , extended a warm welcome address to the dignitaries. The event began with lighting of lamp followed by the blessing of the newly constructed stage. The Marians presented a divine prayer dance followed by a melodious welcome song. The zeal and zest of our twinkling tiny tot Marians was explicitly exhibited by their beautiful and jaw dropping dance performance. Kathak dance performance by the Marian girls was an astounding visual treat that enthralled every spectator present in the academy. Thereafter the school annual report was presented by the Marians in which they highlighted the milestones achieved during the last academic year. The divine musical rendition: ‘Footsteps Walking with Me', truly mesmerized the audience. The main highlight of the annual day was the play, 'Udaan Ek Beti Ki', which was presented beautifully and with utmost perfection by our Marians. 'Udaan Ek Beti Ki': scripted, directed and recorded by our Rev Father Manager, Father John Mendonca, was a small initiative by Marians to encourage and empower girls in our society. The play was a reflection on how a baby is God's opinion that life should go on. It echoed the message that be a boy or a girl, children are the most beautiful and divine creation of Lord and thus society must empower and encourage them to take their flight of liberty. The Chief Guest of the day, Right Rev. Bishop Francis Kalist was visibly impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the Marians. In his speech he appreciated Rev Father John Mendonca for the choice of theme and it's immense impact on the mind of society. He was astonished to observe our Marians narrating scripts with perfect articulation and was impressed by the Marians' acting and artistic prowess. Prize distribution ceremony was conducted to felicitate the talent of students in fields like academics, art, culture and sports. The prizes were given to the outstanding students, by Right Rev. Bishop Francis Kalist and Rev Father Sahaya Das, to acknowledge the Marians' achievements. The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was 'Bhangra'. The energetic Punjabi energy held the audience in awe and left them enchanted as the event culminated. The Vote of thanks was proposed by the school head girl, Nida Anjum and Ansh Chauhan. The grand evening came to an end with the National Anthem. Here's a recollection of some precious moments from the grand evening.
