Description: Spicmacay Virasati’s organized a programme on 11-04-2015 in school campus by SPICMACAY (Society for the promotion of Indian classical music and culture amongst youth). It is voluntary movement founded in 1977 by Dr. Kiran Seth, a professor at IIT-Delhi who was awarded the “PADMA SHRI” for his contribution to the arts in 2009. SPICMACAY celebrates NISHKAAM SEVA the spirit of volunteerism of selfless, without expectation, a value that is intrinsic to our culture and important to nature in today’s world. Two world renowned members of this society Pandit Partho Sarothy one of the most engaging, intelligent and talented SAROD VADAK in contemporary Hindustani Music and Ashis Paul one of the table maestro sensitive aspects of Indian heritage and inspired the young minds to imbibe value embedded in it . All the students enjoyed the programme with faculty members, sister and father manager Vijay Rao.
